We are pleased to share with you that Paul S Koh and Hayoung Yoo have been awarded, respectively, an ICAS Travel Grant to travel to and study at the Independent Institute, Oakland, California, from August 9th through the 13th.
The ICAS Travel Grant covers a full spectrum of costs, expenses, room and board, tuition and fees and the previous Awardees include Bryant Chung, Sean Halpin, Alexander Kim, Jamie Kim, Jennifer Kim, Janice Lee, Joseph Lee, Yuliana Noah and Andrew Yi.
Paul is a Winner Qualifier (WQ) of the ICAS Youth Fellowship Award Contest 2010 for his work on "Adam Smith's Influence to the American Founding Fathers" and Hayoung is Winner Qualifier Honourable Mention of the ICAS Youth Fellowship Award Contest 2009 for her work on "My Coordinate in the American Context". Paul is a rising senior at Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, Pennsylvania and Hayoung is a rising sophomore at Horsham-Hatboro High School, Hosham, Pennsylvania. Both are among the members of the ICAS Youth Excellence Program and hold the title of ICAS Volunteer.
The ICAS Summer Study Away Program was launched in 2005 and Winners/WQs received the Grants (or their equivalents) covering a full scope of opportunities with distinction.
