Ambassador of Korea to Japan
Dear Friend:
We are pleased to share with you that President Myung Bak Lee of Korea has appointed Dr. Kak Soo Shin to the post of Ambassador of Korea to Japan.
Ambassador Shin, a career diplomat, was First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade with expertise in Asian affairs and multilateral diplomacy, and he is a descendent of the famous prime minister Sook Joo Shin of Chosun Dynasty in the 15th century who underlined the importance of Korea-Japan relations with his will to King Sung Jong.
Ambassador Shin visited with ICAS on November 17, 2005 and he delivered remarks "Peace-making in the East Asia" at Philadelphia Bar Association International Law Committee and University of Pennsylvania Law School, respectively, which was followed by a private dinner with senior staff including Professor Lawrence R Klein.
Dr Shin is among the long-standing friends of ICAS.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Sang Joo Kim Senior Fellow & Executive Vice President ICAS |
