Biographic Sketch Ms. Rosett first joined the Journal as books editor in December 1984. In September 1986 she became editorial page editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal. Claudia joined the Journal's Moscow bureau as a reporter in 1993 and became Moscow bureau chief in December 1994. In September 1996 she went on leave and lived in New Delhi. She rejoined the Journal's editorial page in New York a year later and became a columnist in March 2000. In May 1990 Claudia received an Overseas Press Club citation for interpretation of foreign affairs, for her on-the-scene coverage of the Tiananmen Square uprising in 1989. Ms. Rosett received a bachelor's degree in English from Yale. She has a master's in English from Columbia and a master's in business administration from the University of Chicago.
