National Academy of Engineering

Jeong H. Kim*, ICAS Fellow and ICAS Liberty Award recipient, and Professor of Practice,
Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, has been
elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his "contributions to national
defense and security through improved battlefield communication".

Academy membership is among the
highest professional distinctions an engineer can attain. It honors those who have
made important contributions to engineering theory and practice and those who have
demonstrated accomplishment in the pioneering of new fields of engineering, making
