We are pleased
to share with you that Jun H. Choi will address the ICAS Summer Symposium: The Korean
Diaspora.
Jun H. Choi is a Director at the New Jersey Department of Education and
Executive Director of the Task Force for Measuring Student Achievement, a Governor's
initiative to improve the monitoring of public school performance for 1.4 million
students. Previously, Jun has held positions with the US Office of Management and
Budget, and Ernst & Young Management Consulting. He also served as a special assistant
on the Bill Bradley for President campaign. Jun is active in his hometown of Edison,
NJ, as a board member of the statewide YMCA Public Policy Committee, and as an adjunct
professor of economics and policy analysis. Jun recently won a decisive victory
against a 12-year incumbent in the Edison Mayoral Democratic Primary and is the
Democratic Candidate for Mayor of Edison. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Masters in Public Policy
and Administration from Columbia University.
