Sahang Hee Hahn

We are
pleased to share with you that Sahang Hee Hahn will address on "Managing A Successful
College Life" at the ICAS Summer Symposium 2006: The Korean Diaspora which will be
held on August 5, 2006 at Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
Sahang-Hee Hahn, ICAS Associate , is a recent graduate from
the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts & Sciences, where she majored in English
(C'05). A previous speaker at ICAS, Sahang Hee has authored two papers, including "'Acculturation'
as the Possible 'Assimilation' of the 21st Century: A Possible Shift in Focus for
Post Immigrant Generation Korean Americans" (November 2001). During her undergraduate
career, she received the Philip Jaisohn Scholarship Award for her demonstrated interest
and leadership in the Korean-American community (2001). Sahang Hee plans to attend
the Washington & Lee University School of Law in the fall of 2006 and to fulfill
her long-cherished dream of practicing law as an attorney. She recently sharpened
her focus for postgraduate study by setting aside one year to explore the entertainment
industry first-hand. Sahang Hee has been featured in Teen People and Vogue magazine
as a commercial print model and acted as Julie in the feature-length independent
film, Rice Cracker, scheduled for release this Christmas. She debuted in theatre
with her principal role in the regional musical, Master, I Want to Live! (Philadelphia
Arts Bank, 2006). Sahang Hee currently expects the release of her solo music album,
Broke Heart Solutions, this August, and has been interviewed about this project
by Don Juan on FM radio station Power 99's Sunday Morning Inspirations. She was
also recently selected to sing the National Anthem at an NFL Eagles home game during
the 2006 season. In the future Sahang Hee hopes to pursue a legal career alongside
her love for the performing arts by working as an entertainment lawyer.
