ICAS for the period of January 2000 through June 2000: |
2 / 11 : | ICAS hosted
"ICAS [Winter] Symposium: Asia's Challenges
Ahead". Twelve papers were presented. Ambassador Takekazu Kawamura of Japan
was the ICAS Dinner speaker. |
3 / 2 : | Sang Joo Kim, Synja P. Kim and seven
other ICAS Fellows were invited guests of the Officers
and Trustees of the Heritage Foundation at the Sixth B C Lee Lecture. Ambassador
Paul Wolfowitz was the keynote speaker. |
5 / 1 : | ICAS hosted
"ICAS [Spring] Symposium & ICAS
Liberty Award Dinner: Humanity, Economy, Science and Technology".
Six papers were presented. Ambassador Zhaoxing Li of the Embassy of People's
Republic of China in Washington was a keynote speaker and guest of honor at
the ICAS Luncheon. Hon Jerome J Shestack was the recipient
of ICAS Liberty Award and the Dinner speaker. |
5 / 18 : | Sang Joo Kim was an invited guest at
the evening honoring Lawrence H Summers, U. S. Treasury Secretary, at the Park
Hyatt Philadelphia At The Bellevue. |

inaugurated ICAS Liberty Golf Classic at
Bensalem Country Club. Trophy of Ambassador Zhaoxing Li endowed. Il Hwan Kim
was the Grand Marshall, and Sung Hoon Kim, the inaugural champion.
