Yoon Hee Choi
Yoon Hee graduated from Korea Naval Academy in 1977. His education includes Gyung Gi University School of Politics and Diplomacy and University of Maryland of Policy and Strategy in 2006. Yoon Hee also participated in several US Military Schools including Naval War College in 1987 and was listed in the wall of fame as alumni in 2016.
Commissioned as an Ensign in 1977, he has served for 38 years and 8 months in ROK Navy and promoted up to Admiral in 2011. His naval career includes the Superintendent of Naval Academy in 2009, the CNO in 2011, and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2013. After retirement in 2015 he works as President of ROK Sea Power League, Chairman of Federation of maritime industries and columnist in Jung Ang Daily Newspaper.
Yoon Hee's personal decorations include the Medal of Merit for National Security(3) and also awarded the US, Indonesia, and Turkish Medal of Merit.
