Shawn P. Creamer
Colonel Shawn Creamer was commissioned in 1995 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at The Citadel as a Lieutenant of Infantry. His troop command and staff assignments include service with the United Nations Command Security Battalion - Joint Security Area in Panmunjom; 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment; twice with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment; 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 393rd Regiment; 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division; the National Ground Intelligence Center; the Iraq Assistance Group; Eighth (Field) Army and the Republic of Korea / United States Combined Joint Task Force 8; the Republic of Korea / United States Combined Forces Command and the United Nations Command; and twice with Headquarters, Department of the Army.
He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic and Captain's Career Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the U.S. Army Force Management School, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Colonel Creamer was the U.S. Army War College Fellow with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Security Studies Program. Colonel Creamer has a Master of Arts Degree in Management from Webster University.
Colonel Creamer's military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (2d award), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7th award), Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal (5th award). Colonel Creamer has been bestowed with the Order of Saint Maurice, the Order of Saint Barbara, and the Order of Saint George. His other awards include the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Senior Parachutist Badge, the Ranger Tab and the Army Staff Identification Badge. Colonel Creamer's civilian accomplishments include earning the rank of Eagle Scout, selection as a 1995 Summerall Guard, and being awarded the 2017 General Matthew B. Ridgway Research Award.
