Un Shin
Un is a retired diplomat as well as an intelligence officer. Currently, he is president of the Academy of National Intelligence, an affiliated body of Korean Association of Public Administration. Un's career was mainly with national security affairs. He served as president of the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS, 2016-2017). Un retired from the public service as Korean Ambassador to Pakistan(2007-2010). He also served as Minister at Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C. (2003-2005) and Minister at Korean Mission to the United Nations in New York (1998-2001). AMB Shin held senior positions for foreign intelligence at the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Un is a graduate of Seoul National University (BA in Linguistics) and also a graduate of Seoul National University Graduate School of International Relations.
