Lee K. Anthony
Lee K. Anthony is Founder/Head of School at
The American Academy, located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and co-founder of the
Blue Star Mothers of Philadelphia, headquartered at the Union League. The American
Academy holds the 2010 Salvatori Prize for Excellence in Teaching, awarded by Hillsdale
College. Lee received her undergraduate degree with honors from Mount Holyoke College
and her MBA from the Colgate Darden School at the University of Virginia. She is
married to Forrest Anthony, a Dartmouth College graduate and an MD/PhD entrepreneur
in the cancer drug development field. The Anthonys attend Cresheim Valley PCA Church
in Chestnut Hill, raise Seeing Eye German Shepherd puppies, and have four children,
including a concert pianist and a Navy SEAL.
