Mary Beth Nikitin

Analyst, WMD Nonproliferation, Cogressional Research Service

Mary Beth Nikitin has been an Analyst in WMD Nonproliferation in the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade Division of the Congressional Research Service (CRS), Library of Congress since 2007. Mary Beth writes on nuclear nonproliferation topics including the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear cooperation agreements, nuclear security, and North Korean nuclear issues. From 2002 to 2007, she was a Research Associate and then Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). At CSIS, Mary Beth coordinated the international consortium "Strengthening the Global Partnership" among other nonproliferation-related programs. Previously, she worked at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, CA and the UN Department for Disarmament Affairs in New York. Mary Beth holds a Masters in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. She has been a member of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management since 2007.
