Zeguang Zheng

Hon Zheng Zeguang, born in Guangdong Province, is currently Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy of People's Republic of China in the USA. After graduating from Punning Teacher Training College, Minister Zheng taught for two years in a middle school in Guangdong. He later went to South China Normal University and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts. In 1986, Minister Zheng studied International Law in the University of Wales, UK and from 1987 on, he worked in the Chinese Embassy in Trinidad & Tobago.

Minister Zheng was deputy director in the Department of North America & Oceania Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later worked in the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC. From 1999 to 2004, he was director of U.S. Affairs and deputy director-general in the Department of North America & Oceania Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, People's Republic of China.

Over the years, Minister Zheng attended various training programs organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other institutions, including a senior executive program co-organized by the prestigious Qinghua University and Harvard University.
